Join us this fall for a remote, hands-on Genes in Space workshop!

Teachers: Join the Genes in Space team for a remote, hands-on professional development workshop this fall! Participants will learn about exciting additions to the 2022 competition, and will take part in a guided, hands-on demonstration of BioBits cell-free system, which is newly available to support Genes in Space experiments aboard the ISS. All participants will receive a kit containing the equipment and reagents they need to participate in the demo.

*Note: This opportunity is only open to middle and high school teachers in the United States.*


Cost: $25

Location: Virtual (sessions will be held in Zoom)

Dates: (same programming will be repeated on all dates)

  • Saturday, September 18th (12-2pm ET) [FULL]
  • Saturday, October 16th (2-4pm ET) [FULL]
  • Tuesday, November 9th (6-8pm ET)

To register: Email genesinspace@minipcr.com and indicate your role, institution, and the date of the workshop you are interested in attending. If space is available, you will be sent links to complete your registration and pay your workshop fee.
