Official Announcement Moved to June 1st

Dear Genes in Space Contestants,

We are amazed. Not only did we receive 330 submissions from more than 700 participants, but the diverse creativity expressed in each proposal has demonstrated your out of this world scientific curiosity. We have decided to award a number of Honorable Mentions to allow us to recognize and celebrate the large number of high quality submissions. These students will receive an official GiS medal and will be recognized on the Genes in Space website.

Because of this, the GiS Team needs more time than expected to assess all of the submissions. The official announcement will be made on the Genes in Space blog on June 1st.
